I have spent twenty years working where mental distress meets the fractures of the world: humanitarian crises, political violence, ecological collapse, structural precarity. That work has taken me through a series of organisations — Handicap International, the Ain Mental Health Institute, and Action contre la Faim, where I still lead the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) sector — and, alongside them since 2011, through an independent practice in training, research and support for teams and groups.
I trained as a clinical psychologist, hold a PhD in sociology and anthropology from Université Lyon 2, and am a research associate at the Centre Max Weber. This dual grounding shapes how I work: clinical practice keeps me attentive to what is singular, to psychological processes, and to what plays out in the relationship; sociology forces me to set those singularities back in the economic, political and historical conditions that produce them. Together, they make it possible to provide care without depoliticising it.
NoMad Psy is where I bring all of this together: the training I design, the talks I give, the teams I support, and the writing I do. A working space that stays open, critical and in motion. I take on work case by case, depending on the nature and scale of each project.
